Historique :	Fontaine exécutée pour l'exposition universelle de 1900. Fonte par Pradier l'Ancien, érigée à Thiais sur décision du Conseil municipal de 1935. Donnée par l'artiste à la Ville vers 1934, la fontaine a été installée sur un mur d'aspect médiocre, face à l'ancienne mairie, actuel conservatoire de musique. Jacques Froment-Meurice est, entre autres, l'auteur de la statue de Frédéric Chopin située au Parc Monceau.
